warlock neckdive elimination

i just got a warlock platinum and its an awesom ebass, but this neck dive is insane...

anyway to eliminate it? i doubt the thunderbird trick would work on this one...

edit:

i was just thinking, if the strap moving doesnt work, is it possible to find clip on weights for the body to balance out the neck?

ive never heard of the thunderbird trick but i assume it involves moving the strap button placement.

ive never really looked into ways to solve neck dive, i know my spector has it bad but either it doesnt effect my playing, or ive just gotten so used to it that i play around it in a sense.

im taking my spector to my tech tomorow for a settup, ill ask while im there if no one else responds

It may be worth trying....I mean that guy sure does look happy in the final pic.

lol, that made me giggle out loud when i went to go back and look at him

i still dont know if itll work, these two basses are different weights and shapes and theres a different weight distribution on both basses.

im going to pick up a 5lb weight and attach it to the body of the bass and see what happens. that is if jacksonsmen's tech cant help me out with a solution

You could try what I did on my BCR Virgin. It's a little more invloved but there is ZERO neckdive now. I posted it somewhere on TB how I did it but here are the pics.

DOH! My bad.

The material was a shelf bracket that I bought at Walmart for like $6. It is about an 1/8 inch thick and came in black. It had a curved over end as well.

I used the original strap button to hold the bracket in place using one of the existing holes on the bracket. I drilled a second hole so it would be stable and I used an identical screw for it.

The strap button I'm using is actually a straplock. I went to Ace Hardware and found a screw that would fit through the straplock but not interfere with the it. Then I bought a matching self-locking nut (the ones with plastic in them) and a washer.

Hope that sheds a little more light on it. If you have any more questions just ask.

Walmart is sort of like K-mart in that it's a large department store. It's just not as good. (IMO :smug: ) Sorry, no sku or part #. If you really wanted me to I guess I get it and send it to you.

Let me look around first and maybe I can get the part # or maybe even a pic of the unmodified bracket.
