It has been suggested that I use a tube pre to warm up the signal as it comes back into my metro from the SGE MachII I am using for compression and gating.
What do you think? Is it a dumb idea? Is the signal going to get warmed up anyway on the way out to the speakers/board because of the 12ax7 that is at the output stage? ???
