Warmoth Big Single Quad Build

[Ten Four One]

At the rate my GAS is going, probably in a year or so.

I shot the family photo below at Christmas and three of the six are gone (to fund the BigMan build) and two others are half-heartedly on the block because of GAS pains. I'm eager to build a 70's J (with the bridge pickup reposition) and a "BigBoy" (a quad like the BigMan but with a JJ at the bridge and single J's at neck and middle). After that it might be time to build another P and flip the one in the picture.

I could see myself getting into a build-test-play-sell cycle but how often I can do it will depend on how much I lose when reselling a Warmoth parts bass.

Thanks! Four band Audere preamp, Z mode switch, active/passive switch, passive tone.

So, V/T, HiMid/LoMid, Treble/Bass are the stacked pots.

Most often if I use the tone controls it's to jack up high mids when I can't hear myself well enough.

Body and neck arrived today. Of course it had to be a Monday. Probably wont work on it until the weekend.

Finished her up today. Sounds awesome and looks pretty good too. The Audere preamp with phantom coils to cancel hum is a stroke of genius. Works as advertised - single coil tone without any hum. The BigMan PU seems to have a lot more balls than a MM. Very useful tone even though it's far away from the MM sweet spot. More like a J location.

Good, because that Precision bass should be in a museum!

The P is in the classifieds. I have a hankering to build again. Probably priced a little high but I don't know how to price it so figured I'd start by seeing what offers come.
