Warmoth body / SX neck

Hey folks, bought a Rondo SX replacement neck this morning to mate to a Warmoth J body I picked up recently. To any who have paired these parts, any fit issues I should anticipate?

I know the whole "why would you put that grade neck on that grade body" question is coming, and to be honest, it is to see if I like the overall look of this style neck (maple / maple pearloid block) against the finish on the body, before I commit to a Warmoth built J neck some time down the road...but, I have one older SX bass that I really like the neck on, so I could be surprised, and if it sounds and feels and looks right, it's stayin.

Any insight would be great, I'd hate to have to shave the gloss off the neck heel to get it to fit....if it's a bit narrow, no big.

Really? Aw, that'll stink if it's the case...I realize nothing is "universal" unless an officially Fender licensed part...can you just not trust posted dimensions anymore? :hmm:

Anywho, for the price, it's hard to pass up so though I have no intentions of modifying the body to fit the neck, I could always find another use for it.

You could always put it on an SX! That's what I did with my extra Rondo neck. I steam-ironed the maple fingerboard off and glued on a blank plank ebony one on my URSA 5er. Let me tell you that is one FINE fretless (and I can switch it back to fretted if I want to for some reason...I put threaded inserts in neck).
