Nice grain on that body. Ash body/Maple neck and P-bass is just such a great combination.

Thanks, I left the grain on the wood open because I'm into the rustic thing and then I hit it with a few coats of Tru-Oil. I put on a J neck, the radius is fat enough at the nut that it doesn't feel like a modern J neck, it feels beefy.

Love the ergonomics on that bass - light, smallish, great access to the upper frets, comfortable.

My build was radically different than yours, though: passive Barts, P/J pick-up config, flame maple, fretless J-Bass neck...

My plan was a singlecut,but when I looked at what they had the pearl white finished body was $5.00 more than the unfinished singlecut one I was looking at so it was a no brainer.This blocked neck is a 32" I also have a 30" neck that might go on this body.I'll mount the bridge string it up and try it out before deciding what p.u.'s I want to start with.I'll get a chance this week to try both necks on that body.

This is the exact neck... I thought it was a 34"...

That's a 34" bigger bro' to mine.I'll probably put the 30" scale neck on that body.That'll make for a nice small light bass.

I've been wanting to make a Warmoth with a babicz bridge but they kind of advise against it. What's your experience with the 19mm spacing on the warmoth neck? Do you find you ever knock the strings over the edges?
