Great, thanks!
How is the balance on it? That is the ONLY thing that has kept me away from 'da birds...

Hi,
Got this together a over a year ago but keep forgetting to post and get a number.
Warmoth Deluxe 5+1 neck
Maple shaft (decent amount of birdseye in it even though wasn't sold as such)
Ebony fretboard
Steel Stiffening Rods
1 7/8" Nut Width (gives you a more consistent string spacing with the bridge spacing)
Custom Brass nut from Axemasters in Michigan (found them on ebay, great folks)
Satin Poly finish
Warmoth Deluxe Jazz V body
Swamp Ash
American Jazz V Pickup Routing
Jazz bass standard control layout
Rear control plate
Satin Poly finish
Bartolini 57J Pickups
Basslines Blackouts 2-band preamp (setup 18V but can be 9V) with Vol-Vol controls, bridge vol is push/pull for active/passive bypass
Hipshot Ultralight Tuners with 1/2" posts
Hipshot A style brass bridge
Hipshot string retainers
Dunlop strap buttons
Bass setup and finished by local luthier Max Pearson
Butcher...
Any chance we could hear your beauty in some sort of clip/video??
Thanks!
L.
No neck dive on this one at all due to the smaller headstock size.
Here is a link to the video of my luthier finishing the neck. It is a looong video.

I was digging around and it seems that the only things I have are more representative of the tone of the video camera. Like this one for example. My hands were so cold I couldn't feel the strings BTW...
If I get a chance, I'll try to get some Bass->Mixer->MP3 tracks. Got a pretty old set of GHS nickels on it right now too, been searching for the strings that I like best on it.
So far:
GHS Nickels (original from when it was built, and back on it now)
GHS Tapewound (fun strings, but weird E and B tone - currently on my acoustic 5er)
Dean Markley SR2000 tapers

Thanks for your vid butcher!
How's neck dive on yours? With all those steel rods and the "light" swamp ash body.... No issues at all? Compared to any other jazzes you might have?
Thanks
Great rhythm section your group has there
BTW: I like Sadowsky strings on everything bass. SS, nickels or flats...they're all good![]()

has anybody used carvin.neck on a warmoth body? I'm curious about the fit.

That is really sharp. Always loved the SG body shape.
All are beautiful, but I love this one![]()
