Glenn, my friend, I didn't mean to make you defensive in this topic. I just find it interesting that you suggest a donation for others but not for yourself. If this is not the case, please clarify. Perhaps I misunderstood. Either way, I don't know see why you need to be defensive. You are entitled to your opinion, even if you are not willing to pay. You don't need to be defensive.
About being a troll...well, I've been accused of numerous things, but a troll? Nope, I am a person!
And I am ready to "do the right thing". I am ready to forgo some of my cash in this case. You are not. It does not mean I am "right" and you are "wrong". I said I would give cash on the condition of giving this guy back his bass. That is my condition. Dude, why is this "posting bs on the internet"? Because my donation in this case is not the way you want it to be? Surely you don't think you are the only one who can decide about donations, Glenn. Here's how it works: I point out where I am willing to contribute, you point out that you are not willing to part with your cash, that's it! Everyone is happy! But no one tells the other what to do!
Perhaps we have different views on "the right thing". That's cool. As far as I know, this is a free forum. Up until your statement about slinging bs, it seems the discussion was rather civil. People can disagree and still feel they are doing the "right thing". It's interesting that you seem to feel that doing the right thing is a specific set of actions decided by you. I never said that anyone is doing anything wrong. That seems to be coming from you. The direct accusations, Glenn, are coming from you. I have merely pointed out what I think, why, and what I am willing to do.
Again, why is this such a challenge to you?
Take care!
John
