Warwick 8x10

We have a pretty good-sized Oz and kiwi contingent here, and of course you guys have some particular difficulty getting some of the gear talked about on here at any sort of reasonable price. So I'd recommend posting a thread with a title something like "Hey Aussies, advice about large amp cabs here?" I bet that will net you the best results, rather than casting about for opinions on a specific cab made overseas.

www.bassgeardirect.com.au - want a GREAT- perhaps the greatest 8x10 sound but in a 6x10 :-) go 4 a Bergantino NV610 I know they're a li'l over this, but U MAY be lucky w/ a cash offer. Seriously fantastic cab!!

Re the Warwick.... Dunno- sorry. altho many ppl use them, I'm sure they're probly fine, Is the 8x10" a sealed or ported cab? Wattage handling?? Sensitivity??? Compare it to the Berg NV610-which get's SEROUSLY loud & insanely punchy- all in a more compact cab!! I DID use a Warwick 1x15" cab at a venue for a few gigs,(supplied as backline) & I must say I DIDN'T like it much. BUT that aint saying the newer ones or the 8x10 ISN'T good by any means!

I have tried many cabs before and why does it have to be a 8x10? Can it be anything else? I know alot of people want the HUGE volume but you can get that from 4x10's or BERG 3x10's or, like someone already suggested 6x10's. I hate moving "fridges aka 8x10's," and for the volume you could get any combination like I stated before that will make you feel the bass and go deaf.

For shear volume the loudest cab I have ever heard was the Phil Jones 16h. @35m away my pants were flappy do to the low hz volume and it has 16 5inch drivers. The Berg is Extremely loud also so I have been told. For Fridge cabinets I would go with the Aguilar 4x12's. But for the money I would go with the Berg 6x10. But you mentioned $2000. I would save up a little more and get a good quality head also to go with your cab. Hartke makes a good quality 8x10 and SWR makes a good 6x10. But bass people do have a rig sale for Warwick. 6x10 and the 5.2 for $2299. I could give you suggestions for any amount of money you just need to tell us why you want the bigger cab. Then I will make a suggestion based on that. Secondly I highly recommend listening to anything before buying.
