Warwick Corvette ash 5 (passive) Yes or no?

I was wondering if anybody has played one of these and could tell me if it is worth the $950 bucks. I have always played active basses but everytime I go back and like the sound of my fender better. So I was thinking a comrimise if not this bass then could somebody tell me a good solid 5 string with active pickups and passive controls. Basically I want a bass with a tighter sound but not all the active controls. Thank you for your opinions!

i would definetly recommend this bass I was looking at one for about a year and finally made the purchase.the pros would be great sound even though it has passive pickups smooth fast and narrow neck and the action doesn't get any better,light wieght only wieghts about 8 or 9lbs.cons would be kinda scratches easily.
