Warwick corvette rockbass

I kind of like them. They are built well and play well also. They sound good but however IMO don't sound like a Warwick. At least not the German ones. That's not a bad thing at all though. They have a good low end, good definition and clarity, Eq is very useful as well and they look good. They just don't have all those weird musical noises and that funky mid range honk you hear with thumbs n such. Overall dare I say they might be more versitile? Overall I would rate them a good buy.

Play one for a while if you can. I tried one out in GC and loved it, bought it on the spot and brought it home. I realized soon that the body shape was very awkward for me and I never got comfortable with it, but it didn't show up for a few hours.

Otherwise, they're solidly built and the MECs give them just a bit of Warwick snarl, though not like the Germans.

used to think I loved them, but after buying one I sent it back cause I hate it!

Doesn't sit well on you.

if you are used to instruments that are offset, ie the waist at the top is further out than the waist the sits on you lap, you'll not like them. warwicks like spector and other "Modern looking" basses have parallel waists, which causes the neck to stick out further!

The only two warwick that are offset are the Fortress and Dolphin. The streamer is only a little offset.

Now I'm bored!

The newer ones (with the W on the headstock) are usually great; the older ones with RockBass on the headstock can be a bit hit-and-miss.

I played a red $$ 4 (W on the headstock) about 3 months ago and was hell bent on getting it until I found my Cort Curbow. If I get the extra dough I may still get one if I can find another one. They seem to be harder to find lately. The natural finished basses seem abundant but they're not my flavor. I really didn't like the Rockbass varient. Seemed cheap to me.
