Warwick $$ issue

I just recently bought a 5 string Warwick $$ and I am thinking there is a problem with the bridge pickup. The volume on the neck pickup is very sensitive and loud, but the bridge pickup is barely audible, even when turned all the way up.

Is this the way the pickups are supposed to work, or do I have a bad pickup? I have checked all connections and they are solid, and even when I use the push/pull knob to split the coils I get the same result.

Jawzzz - Sorry to hear about your issue with the $$. The output should be the same/similar on both pickups. First of all, check the pickup height. Also, be sure to check for any loose wires in the control cavity. Is the bass new or used? Please let me know...I am more than happy to assist you in sorting things out. Thanks!

Coil splits are done with the switches, either you have a RockBass which is NOT a Warwick and has completely different electronics or you need to read your manual again :) The push pull volume control switches between passive and active modes. And there is no individual volume for the bridge pickup, it's vol / blend / treble / bass so I really have no idea what you are talking about when you say you are turning the pickup all the way up.

Edit: I think he has a rockbass $$ corvette

To clarify, it is a rockbass corvette $$. It has three knobs, two for volume which are push/pull for serial/parallel, and a tone control. There are no loose wires inside, but the bridge vol pot was a bit loose where it is bound together . I tightened the four tabs holding it together with the same result.
I also tried switching out the pot for another one that is exactly the same and still the same result.

I bought the bass brand new from AMS.

I will look at the height now and see if that is the issue.

I checked the pup height, it is at max height. After all the post, I am positive I have a bad pup. I will contact AMS, but since I have already thrown the box away, I think I am going to have to fix it at my own cost.

I sent an e-mail, was responded to within an hour and then received my new pick up a week later. I have installed it and it works and sounds great.

Thanks for all the input, And thanks to Warwick for their excellent representation and customer service.
