I am looking for a new cab or 2 and came across a guy about an hour away with a Warwick W410 Pro. It is 8 ohm, 300 watts. I can get it for $100 and it's in great condition according to him on the phone. I don't want to drive an hour each way to find out it sucks. I'm playing in a band right now playing heavy riff driven rock tuned down so I need a good punchy, tight but deep low end. The 15s I've been using are too muddy. I was suprised the price is so low but he said last time he advertised this cab and an amp he just sold, he got no calls, so he waited a couple months and re-advertised at a lower price. Anybody know anything about these?

Warwick W410 Pro cab?

Pretty sure its the model I used to have.
Mine sounded really good (I remember it almost sounding like an Ampeg) and really lightweght compared to most 4x10s. The only weird thing I remember was that it only had speakon and XLR inputs, ie no 1/4". You can get those locking 1/4" jacks that fit in place of one of the XLR's if its a big deal.
I almost got a second one but decided just to sell it and get an 8x10 in the end.
For the money, if its in good condition I would go for it!

I've played a few times on such a cab in combination with a Warwick Quad iV and the thing rocked steady

You are sure it's a 410, right? $100 is awfully cheap for a 410, even a beat up one, and 300 watts power handling is probably conservative for any 410. My opinion? If its loud enough, and isn't inconvenient, get it. $100 for a 410 is a steal, considering all four speakers work. Also if you decide to buy the Warwick 410, try pairing it with a 115 for down-tuned rock.
Same here. EXACTLY the same here! *spooky* However, mine had 1/4" and speakon inputs, no XLR's. Sounded great, but I got an 8x10 in the end. Sometimes you just have to give in.

Warwick makes great amplifiers and cabinets. The only reason they aren't more popular is because their U.S. distributer doesn't keep a lot of them in stock and and doesn't seem to push the sale of them all that much. The ones I've played through at NAMM shows sounded AWESOME. For $100 you can't go wrong. Even if the cabinet goes to hell on you in the future, you will still have a really well built 4x10 enclosure. You can load it with Eminance Delta 10'' speakers for about $200.00 and have a bad ass 2000 watt beast.
