I have the opportunity to buy this for $400. I'm very very new to basses and I'm still trying to figure it all out. I am learning double bass, and I want something more compact.

I'm looking for a bass that will be great played mostly acoustic but can be plugged in.


Lastly, how much does this differ from a full body?

Sound good?
Should I consider something else?

Even though I'm the seller, there are always plenty of basses to consider.

There's nothing wrong with going to a few music stores and seeing what speaks to you. I think this one is a good bass for the price, but you don't know what will speak to you until you've tried out some stuff. Do you want to stick with four strings? Would you prefer lines? If you miss out on this bass, it's not the end of the world for either of us.
