Double Bass Waterproofing Mooradian Bag

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to waterproof (or at least increase the water resistance) of a Mooradian bass bag. I've tried spraying Scotch Gard on the heavy nylon bag, but the bag still gets damp when I walk with it in the rain on NYC streets. Other sprays? Does anyone make a bass poncho that fits over the cover?
Thanks in advance.

Respectfully, I would recommend contacting Mooradian and asking their advice before spraying anything on your bag. I'm not sure the products in that video are meant for this application- but I defer to the experts.

FWIW: I have gotten my Mooradian bags wet plenty of times, to the point where they were pretty well soaked and my basses have always been safe. The bag(s) dry out really quickly too- just spread it out in a well ventilated area...and never leave a damp or wet bag on a bass! I'm sure that goes without saying, but there, I said it none the less! ;)

I agree completely.

The folks at Mooradian have always answered my questions promptly. You should definitely ask them before doing anything like this to your cover. They'll give you a good answer quickly.

Yeah, don't worry about it. Unless you're caught in a torrential downpour and it's a life and death situation where you just have to walk 20 blocks.

I went about 10 blocks in a pretty good rain recently and it was all good.

NeverWet is insane. I feel like that stuff should have completely transformed the world economy by now.
