Way Huge Red Llama Reissue

As an owner of the Way Huge Pork Loin and Swollen Pickle I thought it was cool they reissued this particular pedal.

I just got one today. It is a versatile overdrive: the lighter drive adds grit and the heavier drive settings it gets into fuzz territory.

Any low end loss? I'm a bit concerned about the lack of a tone knob. Can you comment on how it sounds compared to any other overdrives?

It retains the original tone of the bass very well. The lack of blend knob is disconcerting, but I think it handles the low-end well. Compared to the OBD-3, it keeps the mids present and isn't as harsh or super grainy. Hopefully this helps. I'll disclose more as I play it more.

I am interested in this as well. Ive liked every Way Huge Product Ive tried (pork loin, swollen pickle, aqua puss) - only one lives on my board now though and thats the Green Rhino. Looking for another overdrive that is less compressed and can do low gain well. Was considering a Bogdan Polish love which is similar to the Red Llama since you can get them for cheap, but I feel like kind of a fanboy now so if the red llama sounds good with bass I might pick one up. My barber LTD SR should arrive tomorrow so we will see how that fares as a transparent low gain overdrive. Any chance you could do some sound clips?

$120 street seems like a great deal if it is as good as reviews indicate.

I have a clone, which is nice (mine is as big as a Phase 90), but it does suffer from a crucial flaw: it hums. Probably a grounding issue with either the SG, which was never known for doing grounding well. Trouble is, my Peavey had similar problems. I'm using my Catalinbread for my grit needs, but sometimes it feels like straight distortion through my bass.
