Way Huge

I picked up a Red Llama the other day. I was actually looking for a Pork Loin because I heard they worked well on bass, but all the store had in stock was the Red Llama so I gave it a spin, liked it and brought it home.

Sounds killer live. Reacts more like an overloaded circuit than an overdriven circuit (best way I can think to describe it). It really spits and pukes on the signal peaks but is relatively clean between peaks. Sounds great live with a distortion that cuts instead of being buried.

Anyway... I want to try out other Way Huge pedals now. I'm looking for something that does really mild OD, and something that does full on exploding amp (loose fuzz, not tight fuzz).

Also interested in knowing which WH stack well?

I'm experimenting with a pork loin now, haven't gigged it yet. Lots of love for it here as an OD. I personally don't find it very dynamic/touch sensitive, so I won't use it as a light OD (others here will defend it in this role) - but I'm liking it as an occasional medium/heavy OD and really look forward to getting it out on a gig.

Edit: if you pursue a pork loin, search for the johnk thread on modding it to have a fuller frequency response in the highs

Mild OD I would recommend the Pork Loin, Green Rhino or Saucy Box. For fuzz go with Swollen or Russian Pickle. As far as stacking probably the Red Llama and Green Rhino since they are the pedals in a Camel Toe but also I think all my pedals sound a little better stacked with a Pork Loin at the end of my chain.
