the perfect bass would have sensors attached to your head, and fingers, and whatever tune you can think of in your head, would send impulses to your fingers and put them in the perfect position and pluck/pick/tap/slap/double thumb/whatever other techniques there are... that way, its not making its own music, because you have to use your mind to say "i want to play this, but not that"... this could also double as a training device.. it would work the muscles in your hands, and you'd get so used to a certain beat or tune or whatever, and you'd be able to play it naturally!
Too bad this will never work, you'd get a lot of repeat business.
