We Need a New Chorus with Detune and Multi-Voice

We need a company to step up and make a new chorus pedal with detune, multi-voice, and some form of cross-over circuit that lets you control how much of the signal is affected.

There was the Tech 21 Bass Boost Chorus, but it hasn't been made for years and they've become increasingly difficult to find on the used market.

Then there was the Iron Ether Polytope. Based on their website, I can't tell if these are still being made or not. If you can find one used, $400+ is too steep for me.

There has to be somebody out there willing to take up the reins and make this. It's not like the company would be breaking new ground on an unsure product space. It's an established and underserved market.

Fortunately for you, the ZOIA exists. It'd be about 400 too (used), and you would have to learn to make thar chorus patch from mostly scratch, but you could 100% do it. In fact, it's posts like these that inspire me to go pick mine up and see if I can accomplish what you're looking for (recently made an IE FMeron wannabe patch from the diagram on their site).

If you like weird stuff and have the imagination that it appears you have, it's worth considering. I'm far from fluent but if you learn to speak ZOIA you can copy most anything, or you can find a YT video of a patch you like, which tend to have links to the patches, and you deconstruct those etc.

yeah not the same for me ( and I assume a lot of other bassists) that don’t know how nor want to program nor pay that much…
A 200-250 polytope (ish not wanting to stomp on iron ether) copy that’s just plug and play would be the bees knees

Agreed. I am sure there are more bassists and guitarists that would prefer a few knobs and switches to the ZOIA learning curve. What I was more getting at was that in the first paragraph of the OP I see a thought process that would do very well in a ZOIA environment. Maybe not now. Maybe never. Just something to think about. If your imagination keeps taking you to custom gear or odd routing or endless searching, well, the ZOIA is quite the sandbox in that regard. But, yes, I will sign the petition for this pedal to go into production if you draw one up.

The Digitech Luxe was/is a great detune effect - they called it an anti-chorus. And can sometime to be found second around £100-150 (seems similar USD too).

The Line 6 Helix/HX platform has a bunch of options as well - and with the new HX One, it's a pretty attractive price point to get into a pedal for that detune thing, and also have access to a bunch of great other pedals with a pretty simple UI. The Poly Detune block will do this very nicely with control over low cut and high cut.

Zoia can do it for sure, but it's more of a deep dive, and a lot pricier.

I'd say the new Line 6 HX One is your best solution for current and readily available options.
Though it doesn't have the same control of voices as the Polytope.
