Webstrings Flats: Anyone tried them?

I like the webstrings flats. Definitely a good cheap way to see if you'd enjoy flatwounds. They're very smooth feeling, and very dead right out of the box, which, generally speaking, is a good thing with flats, provided you're going for old-school thumpiness. I assume chromes would be a bit brighter, though i haven't tried them myself. Overall I prefer Labella deep talkin flats for old school thump (they just have that magic feel and sound), but these aren't a bad compromise, especially considering the price. And I preferred these over Thomastik-Infeld, but those strings have a character entirely unto themselves (and much more upfront upper midrange tone, and freakishly low tension... not something i could get used to).
