Double Bass Weedwacker strings for arco?

Hey talkbass, I have had this account on here for a while but I have not posted yet so I guess this is my first post here.

I have been thinking about getting some weedwacker strings for my DB because I have been playing a lot of slap in my schools jazz band, but I still have to use the same bass for the concert band where I have to use a bow. Is there anybody here that has played weedwackers with a bow that could tell me if they would work well? Or maybe give some suggestions for good slap strings?

Weedwhackers back you into a corner on your bass. They are a one trick pony. If all you want to do is slap then string them up. If you want to use a bow You'll have to get a proper bass string. Something light. Evah Pirrazi Weichs come to mind as a possibility. Light enough to slap without causing to much pain, heavy enough to bow and sound very good that way. Perhaps Solo Dominants tuned to concert pitch, or Solo Spirocores tuned to concert pitch.
