Tom Prasada-Rao and Cary Cooper - they are a married couple who just happen to both be incredible musicians. This isn't a good pic, but many of mine aren't. Cary is actually 742 times prettier than this pic makes her. Maybe 743. Look them up. And even more importantly, give them a listen.

A spontaneous jam on a Django Reinhart/ Stephan Grappeli piece. I don't know either of these people but they sounded like they'd rehearsed for months and said they didn't know each other.

]If you look in the dim part of this pic, you might notice that Leopard Lounge has a full working wet bar. They also make up a new band name every day for the people who will be showing up to jam that night. Eventually even they start to run out of names to put on that white board. So for one night this year, the board had my suggestion of "Hannah Balector and the Cannibals"

The bass banjo has a cut down marching bass drum for a body with strips of spruce to brace the head. The one I'm holding in the second pic is a different kind of washtub bass, The top is plywood. The rest of the body is a washtub. The guy with the bass banjo in the second pic is the one who built/devised it.


And here's Keith Grimwood of Trout Fishing In America playing my favorite Clevinger ever.

Of course I probably only like that Clevinger so much because of what Keith plays on it.
