Well, I'll go ahead and put my money down on it being a multi-effect; I doubt that they would put out a new effect modeler that only did variations of one effect, and was even bigger than their older 'single' models.

right. looking at it more closely it seems to mimic THREE pedals at once, with the controls and display on the right side probably showing the selected effect (out of 3).

I'm personally wondering if 3 will be enough.

I really love this news! Tried a M13 at my local store and I almost hated myself for liking the sound of it! but it makes me feel bad because I have nice pedals I really like, the only thing I really need is the patching you can do, like activating 3 fx on one click

Can see that it has all five of the effect types (delay, mod, dist., filter, reverb), and it looks like some of the functions like the tuner (if I'm reading the really small print correctly) are accessed by stomping on two adjacent buttons at once.

Gear is always much more expensive in Europe than USA, would it only be because of VAT. Zzounds pre-sold it for a few days (mistake?) at $399.
Color me interested. I never thought much of Line6's amp modelization but their effects and pedals are top notch most of the time. The M13 is cool but a bit cumbersome to my taste. M9 shall suit me fine.

Calling Rich Renken! Can you confirm these details?? Still no post on the Line6 site that I can find.

I anticipate this unit replacing a lot of real estate on a lot of pedalboards. $400 is rather steep, but not considering what this thing has in the box. $150 more for a twice+ as powerful DL4, PLUS all the other xM4's? Sign me up.
