were these good basses :-)??

I've wondered too - if I didn't own Ibanezessessess, I might be interested in a Yamaha. Nathan East is kinda a hero to me as I find his musical style to be so 'all over the board' that he never fails to keep my interest in his musical style.

He is the guy who got me interested in the AEB10 I bought, but I also think he's such a good bassist that he could make a cigar box bass sound good.

Somehow I can't believe that he would lend his name to something that was sub-par for his standards -although money can assuage some people's conscience enough to sign onto the dotted line for almost any product, good or bad.

I owned Yamaha motorcycles and they were always just great, although they lacked 'personality' and were just cookie cutters of each other.

Each and every one was exactly the same and so I wonder if the QC on their basses would give you the same clone-ish feeling that you and 1,000 other guys have exactly the same bass and they all sound/feel/play exactly the same.

I guess if one likes to play an IROC Bass, then it's a good thing --- or not. :ninja:
