Wet VS Dry

I started setting up my first few pedals today and i realized i have not even the foggiest clue what that means


I have a tuner with and output and a dryout options, and a aphex bass-xciter with an option for wet vs dry

please help me with thissss

"Wet" is the effected sound, if there's a "Dry" output then that will (should!) put out what you put in, with no effect applied.

In terms of tuners, usually a secondary output (if yours is labeled "Dry" it's probably the same thing) isn't muted while the tuner is switched on. I had to explain that to a guitarist last week who's been playing for 20 years, so don't feel too noobish!

Wet and dry are two signals in a bass sound. wet indicates the effected part of your sound(meaning the sounds of your effects). dry indicates your original clean bass sound. when those sounds are combined, you have a blended sound. blending your sound is a good way to be able to get a cool sound without losing low-ends. that's why blender pedals are created. to combine the dry signal with the effected signal.
