i found myself imagining a bass player with a shoulder with a mouth screaming in pain as he plays. it was pretty disturbing

I'll do extra tune if the crowd is really into it. More Than that will cost them. I've had a drunk patron cough up $100 for some more tunes.

My daughter was recently doing her second solo gig ever.... and afternoon gig in a city bar. A table of young blokes offered her $70 to do one more song and she asked me if she should do it as she was already a few minutes past the finish time. I told her to do it and during the song checked with the manager if it was cool. She said that she'd cut off that table as they were too drunk (I didn't think so but it's her venue). I said "right, this is definitely the last song". The gig only paid $150 so that $70 was a big bonus to my daughter.
