Whammy IV rocker problem

Hey guys...I've been using my whammy IV a lot lately, and I love it. But, I've realized that when i go to rock the "rocker" forward, say, an octave up(though it occurs with everything) it will travel forward about half the way then all of a sudden just octave up very quickly, not allowing for a smooth transition. Is my whammy damaged? Is there anything I can do to repair it, or is this just an inherent problem with the Whammy pedals?

Yeah, try re-calibrating the pedal.

Unplug the power from the Whammy, with the rocker in the heel-down position. Plug in the Whammy, while holding down the on/off stompswitch. The LED indicator will start flashing.

Now, move the expression pedal to the toe-down position, back to heel-down, back to toe-down, then hit the on-off switch.

At this point your Whammy *should* be working fine. If not, I'd say there's something wrong with it--but try this before sending it back.

Do this. In my experiences, the pedal had to have this done it it EVERY time it was powered up (mine that is, it was exceptionally bad).

It was why I had to get rid of it, I had to do that mid song when the power blinked and NO signal would pass through until I did. Not cool. :scowl:

I went threw the whole recalibration process yet mine still seems to just 'turn on' when the toe is all the way down, no transition. Any suggestions on what I should do? I bought this guy used. with warrant card that hasnt been filled out. No idea how old it is.

OOOOOH, BUUUUURRRNNNN! :D

*Flips out like a girl in middle school*

:D

That sentences still seems to make sense to me so one of two things is happening:

1) This is a product of recently increasing the dosage of vicodin
2) Marching Pig was just being smug and was just stirring the pot to be funny

Either way, I'm gonna go take some more pills.
