I found this forum while searching for information on the S101 Standard bass I saw in a Unique Thrift Store. I almost dismissed it out of hand, but decided to seek information. The most relevant results were here, and that discussion answered questions I had regarding the action on a Dean Edge bass I have had for 10 years. What else could I do but join?
The bass is a secondary instrument for this saxist/percussionist composer. The Dean Edge 09 is a remnant from the last band I formed. I had purchased it for use by a guitarist who would double on bass. Eventually, I adapted the technique I had learned from classical guitar to bass. I have played bass in public once. A new situation may force me to come out again. Only now I have the S101 (I LOVE it!), years of "woodshedding" and TALKBASS.COM.
