two questions boys and girls. What Bassist drummer combo would you like to hear the most? also if you could play with any drummer in the world night in and night out who would it be? For me The combo is question is answered by Questlove and Meshell Ndege Ochello. I just think they would compliment each other incredibly well. And as far as drummers go. Kenwood Dennard. Kenwood Dennard. Kenwood Dennard.
By this I expect you would mean non existant. I'd like to hear Entwistle/Bonham, Wooten/Beauford*they've played together, but I have not heard them so..., or Clarke/Moon. Glenn
Off the top of my head: Simon Phillips and Tony Levin, their sense of space is pretty similar IME. I'd like to play with Marco Minnemann (Illegal Aliens, Paul Gilbert). He's a great drummer - and from Germany, so there's a slight (well, very, very slight) chance to play with him...
Percy Jones and any of the great Brand X drummers is my choice for a section. ifI could play with anyone night after night? man, that's tough... I guess any of the following in no particular order: Bill Bruford Stewart Copeland Steve Gadd Steve Janssen Harvey Mason Carter Beauford Steve Ferrone and New Orleans' own Jon Massing from the low end, Stew
Best Combo? Les Claypool and Mike Pornoy... Both crazy guys... I `d love to jam with Neil Peart... te best drummer around...
i would love to hear meshell and terri lynn carrington and if meshell couldn't make it, matt garrison would do just fine
I saw Terri not too long ago. That would be cool I think. I like Terri's playing a lot I'm not a big fan of People who are "elvin-ing" 24/7. I want people who lay in the pocket you know?
you gotta go buy the herbie hancock dvd "future2future" concert - track 4 and beyond. the groove is addicting
oh yeah well I did see them at the avalon so I guess I did see her with Herbie. that was pretty good I enjoyed it a lot.
I kinda wish that Lenny White was the drummer in Weather Report, him furiously jamming with Jaco on some hyper-speed pieces would be incredible! I'd like to jam with; Danny Carey Tim Alexander Morgan Agren Tomas Haake Lenny White Bill Bruford Gavin Harrison Carter Beauford Kirk Covington
Danny Carey....boy thats a lot of Tom Tom's You know that is Lenny on the jaco selftitled (for some of it) I think Erskine does well in weather report. I would have liked to heard someone like Mike Clark or PFunk style Dennis Chambers (not reverse-groove dennis chambers)
