Obviously, the fingerboard is inlaid & the headstock appears to be, but I know they often use very thin veneers of shell (.003"?) for logos, inlays, etc... Not saying the one on the body is, but if the finish is pretty thick, it could be.
Years ago, I sanded the "Inlay" off of an Electra peg head face... Doh!
