WHAT AMPEG BASS HEAD SHOULD I GET?

Okay, just because you had a bad experience with an SVT3-Pro does not mean that they all suck. I played a loud gig with mine last night. I play loudly for over 2 hours at a time at least 3 days a week with mine, no problem. And the amp sounds really good as well.
As for the Chinese parts...what are you playing that does not have them? My Eden WT-400, handmade in Montrose, Minnesota is full of Chinese components.

Hey good for you *clapping* yaaaaaaay!

i was just stating MY experience. Bad solder joints are common on those. IMO if yers hasnt had issues with that then yer lucky...

And sure im sure there might be a couple "chinese components" in my Mesa, but it sure as hell isnt the transformers.

Calm down everybody. Just because i dont prefer the amp you prefer, shouldnt bum you out so much.

Um, no. There are way worse amps. And what amp today ISN'T full of Chinese parts? Even the ones made here are full of Chinese parts. The Chinese part thing is a total red herring.

Yes! Remember Chinese parts and manufacture aren't intrinsically bad. American companies spec out this gear. If they want to sell you an amp for $1.00 and spec it out with grade A parts and great quality control they make it for .75 a unit.
If they want to make a greater profit then they say make this amp for .10 a unit. Which one is going to be reliable and sound good?
Blame the guy who specs it not the country of manufacture or the worker.

Fixed. Most engineers shoot for better components than the "suit".

Keep shopping at Walmart, buying cheap, disposable, Chinese made garbage, while complaining about how there are no american jobs etc etc etc. Thats who i blame. guys with giant "Merican trucks, and USA plastered all over them, who think nothing of dropping 500 bucks at Walmart.

Your just making excuses for being cheap.
