What are some 32 inch scale basses?

Which Flea Bass is that? I thought they were all 34" scale, except for the junior models, which are 30".

No worries. I thought you might have had some info on a new 32"...even if it was from Fleabass.
All of them? Really? I thought the deal was simply that any model Alembic bass is available in either 30", 32" or 34" scale lengths. I'd swear the Spoiler I played (a bazillion years ago) was a 34".
Any custom Alembic can be whatever you want. Stanley Clarke plays a 36" amongst others (series II). But the several I've seen lately on Fleabay have been 32". I Dunno.
This is correct, at the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] page one of the things you can select is the scale of the bass you want. Third field down. Be careful, the quote price for a Series II can give you a heart attack even before you customize it.
Alembic aside, most custom builders are happy to build 32" scale 4 strings. When you start making demands in the low B department, some can do it in 32" scale, some don't.
Interesting idea about that B string. Contact Kubcki about making a 5 string Ex Factor and have the B string be the extended one.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I think my best bet would be to stick with my acoustic for as long as I can stand it being my only bass. The ESSEX looks like a good short term solution, but to be honest I've always wanted and Alembic series 1 anyway. Guess I better start savin'.

Another option might be Drake Custom Bass in Iowa - Andrew Drake says he specializes in 32" and 33". I'm considering getting one from him: Gallery « Drake Custom Bass

The new Gretsch Electromatic hollow body basses are 32" scale, and sexy as hell:
Speaking of Hollow bodies like the Gretsch, if you run into a Dean Stylist, they too are 32".
Also of possible interest on the low priced options, Ibanez used to produce a Les Paul Double Cut model called the GAXB. The came in Red, Black and Blue. Most sell on eBay for $100 - $200.
BOLO for the Yamaha Motion B. I've heard good things and always wanted to try one. eBay has a purple one right now.

The Epiphone EB-1 had a 32" scale. They were offered for a few years back in the late 90's.

They have the Squire 32 Tele basses on Sweetwater and other sites as well. I like the 1 pickup model. Some of the Gretsch offshore models are 32 in. I built a Warmoth 32 and I have a Birdsong (31) and a custom 32 from a local luther. The bottom line is, they are a bit hard to come by. That's why I put the Squire out there for you.
