What are some 32 inch scale basses?

here are my 32" basses. I have made quite a few of them because I broke both wrists and they make it easier to play.

Hi

Purchased about three months ago a Warwick corvette Rock Bass, four strings ,short scale.,natural wood, two pick ups. Passive..I think it's a 32 inch . I have TI Flates on it.Best bass, and strings I 've ever owned or played. The TI Flates are great.!Doesn't sound like an old Fender, to much Growl.I love it.Doesn't get lost in the Band mix.My bass never sounded so good.I have nerve damage in my hands, but the TI Flates helps that.

Thanks

Many EXCELLENT suggestions on here. Yes you have to dig a bit to find the medium scales - but it is more than worth it.

These are the 32" scales from Fender:

Stu Hamm Urge I - discontinued but available used, and has the only Fender medium scale two octave neck:

Fender 1962 Replica Jazz Bass - available brand new from Fender Japan (they also make it in short scale):

Fender and Squier P Basses from the mid-eighties, this one has been painted and sports a new cavity cover:

Fender Jazz Special P/J's also made during the mid-eighties:

Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster bass close to a full size Fender neck but in 32" scale:

And the Fender Pawn Shop modified Jaguar Bass

If you are interested in the Fender Japan PBasses or JBasses they are always available here and there on ebay. Simply search on "Fender Bass 32" Medium Scale".

If you are interested in some of the custom high end options available from PRS, Roscoe, and Drake you can go here:

If you are really driven, don't be afraid to design your own "dream" bass in medium scale and have it built for you:

And don't forget the Blast Cult 32:

Or the offerings by Teye:

Or Brian May of Queen's fairly recent medium scale creation:

I guess this thread spans a few years, and here I am replying to long forgotten posts, but about the Gretsch and Dean Stylist hollow bodies ...

There are two things going on here, scale and string length. The Stylist (I think) and one Gretsch model that isn't in their catalogue, the G5123B, are 32 medium scale - and take 34 inch strings, to accommodate the extra length to the tailpiece behind the bridge. That's interesting because, aside from a little easier to find that string length, I believe the tension is lower than normal, about like if you tuned a 34 inch down a step or two.

The Gretsch Electromatics in the catalogue are short scale (5442) and long scale (5440.) The short scale would take "medium scale" strings, I reckon.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Music Man Sterling. Amazing build quality, great tone (if you like the MM hum bucker; which I do) and incredibly comfortable to play (I'm 5'6" and it is by far the most comfortable of all my basses to play). Hard to find, so call Music Man as they can help with locating stock if you want a particular color/fretboard combo.

No one has mentioned it because it isn't a 32" scale, it is 34". It is most certainly an amazing bass with outstanding tone and a fantastic player, but it is long scale and AFAIK EBMM does not make any medium scale basses. If they did, I'd own one. :)
