When ya say channel 2,you mean channel A or B?
I'm an old bastard with too much ear wax,but I've never really thought of either channel as sounding scooped,with everything set flat.

B. Mine is definitely scooped. I can hear it all too well when I AB my amps directly. I have to add a bunch of 850 to get it back. It does come back, though.

I have a basic multi-effects unit to cover anything I might happen to require in whatever playing situation. I also have a 7 band EQ pedal when I'm playing my passive Yammy, to get just the right tone, though I wouldn't need it if I upgraded my combo to something with its own 7-band.

That said, I'd imagine the three most used pedals would be a distortion/overdrive/fuzz of some kind, a compression, and maybe a chorus or phaser.

With these 3 pedals (along with the EQ on my LMII) I can get a great tone from most any room. What I usually do is use the PQ3B to help dial in the room (especially the low-end) and the GEB7 is used to help my pick playing (three times per nite) emulate fingers. To do this I boost the 120hz about 5mm, leave the 50hz where it is, cut the volume level by about 5mm and trim all other sliders down to "zero" or all the way down. Works very well.

Jimmy - what you do'in up so late!!! Rock'n or Chill'n? You know you really don't need that over priced EBS

VT/DD-20 bare minimum required. DDs always on with a little bit of analog delay.

Little bit of both...I'm a late nighter most of the time. Always have been. Ya, I don't need the Microbass, but it does come in handy because I play upright on a lot of my gigs and I need it for the splitter/EQ.

1. Tuner

With my TU-2, MultiComp and my MXR M-80 I'm pretty much good to go with any style or genre of music that I want to play.

I have a rack unit. Not because it's cool but for me a tuner pedal doesn't deserve the floor space.

A tuner and preamp/di are both very useful in any situation. Other than that, it's all up to your playing style. I'd add some sort of modulation and maybe a compressor, but that's just me.

Ditto the tuner (rack mounted if possible) and a DI (mine is built into my amp), and . . . I discovered that in playing a small places, maybe like at church - more compression is needed, and though my amp has a built-in compressor - it's not enough! So an aftermarket compressor was needed.

The best compressor that I've found - EBS Multi-Comp, True Dual Band Compressor!

All I need is my fulltone OCD, mxr super comp, and tuner. Yet I have 7 other pedals that I could get away with not using live but rather.

I like tap dancing during my set.

Thanks. That setup does sound great... individually and all on. However, gas is compelling me to add another flavor of dirt and an octave pedal of some sort.

BTW, I got rid of the solid connectors...
