What are the behringer condenser mics like?

If anyone has any experience with these?

The B1, B2, C1, C2, C3 etc etc

Just having a scout about looking at cheap condenser mics.

Cheers!

- Will

I just looked on Harmony Central, and quite honestly, the Behringer mic's got slagged pretty heavily for being unreliable and crapping out in almost no time. For less expensive condenser mic's, you're far better off with something like the AKG Perception series, Audio Technica's and even Apex Electronics (out of Canada). Behringers will cause you untold aggrivation and headaches.

The Studio Project mic I have SP1 I think, is really bright and brittle.

MXL 2001 has a huge cardoid pattern so it's noisy.

MXL 990 is a great warm sounding mic.

I like the Apex 403. Cheap Chinese condensor but sound great.

I would look at other options in the $100 range, there are lots of mics out there than Behringer. If this is your first mic I would pick up a SM57 you can use it for ANYTHING.
