Cool, thanks. I had them stored in a box and I was trying to identify as many if the like 50 sets as possible. Found some d'a nyxls too and they sound nice. Gonna try the rotos next. Those are Rotosound ball end colors. So, red silk means Swing Bass 66 Stainless.
Oddly enough. Our if all these strings, they have the roundest bottom end. Crazy.Roto 66 SS.
I put them on and found them to be smoother to the touch thsn my usual fsr beams which I thought was weird. I always heard rotos were rough roughThose are some imported cheese graters straight from the United Kingdom. Fantastic for shredding Wensleydale, Caerphilly, and your hands should you put them on your bass.
WARNING: Do not use while drinking a pint or quart of Guinness at the local pub.

I played Rotos for 12 years and I had multiple sets make my fingers bleed. That plus getting the wrong gauge (in packaging for the correct gauge) made me switch to D’Addario.I put them on and found them to be smoother to the touch thsn my usual fsr beams which I thought was weird. I thought they felt smooth for steel BUT, they have been sitting in a box for 5 years lol. They only had maybe 10 minutes of play time on them though. Maybe the age took off some grit. Idk how that works.I played Rotos for 12 years and I had multiple sets make my fingers bleed. That plus getting the wrong gauge (in packaging for the correct gauge) made me switch to D’Addario.

These must be dead cause the e sounds like flats lol. They have a really fat round sound. Wasn't expecting that even from dead steels.Considering Rotosound essentially invented the stainless steel wrap round wound bass string, they do have great tone. I have recorded with them on national TV back in 2005.
