I'm finishing up The Crooked Staircase, the third of five Jane Hawk novels by Dean Koontz. I just picked up the fourth book, The Forbidden Door from the library.
My wife got this from the library. I picked it up when she was done. It’s actually really funny. Written by the actress who played Nellie on TV’s Little House on the Prairie

I've been a big fan of these books, but this just felt off, dis-jointed and not as well-paced as usual.
Maybe it's time for Reacher to take a rest...he deserves it.

Just finished Flea’s memoir, which was a good read. He comes across as very open, sincere and enthusiastic, and he definitely had an interesting life before the band (the book pretty much ends where RHCP begins).

To understand a lot of the references in this book I keep the Encyclopedia of Tolkien handy while I am reading "The Fall of Numenor."

I realized recently that the only version of R.L. Stevenson's Treasure Island I had ever read was essentially an oversizedLittle Golden book. So I got a real version and read it - a good story, and nicely written. I'm working my way through Stevenson's Kidnaped right now!
In more contemporary work, I'm also reading Amor Towles' book A Gentleman in Moscow. It's a quietly enjoyable book full of interesting experiences. I recommend it!

I just realized last week that The Fall Of Numenor had been released! On my list to buy for sure. You know, once I wend my way through the various OTHER Tolkien works I've got lined up...
How is it so far?
I like it so far, i think it is better than "The Children of Hurin." You probably already know that book will be the last one edited and published by Christopher Tolkien after his death in 2020.
Working on some Greek mythology lately, but been so exhausted I get a few pages in and am ready for bed. Determined to read more and watch less TV this year!
