Just started this book. Looks like it may get rather technical!
Just finished Philip K. Dick's "Martian Time-Slip". Odd to say the least. Was a bit rough to get through, as it never really grabbed my attention.
Okay, can you read this?

Read Tolkien's "Beren And Luthien" and Gummere's translation of "Beowulf" the last two days. "Beren and Luthien" was a great look behind the curtain, like pretty much all of his "histories" on Lord of the Rings, and really gave great details to the stories and the story of writing the story. Gummere's "Beowulf" was also an interesting read as a now historic translation (it was originally published in 1910) of a historic text. I enjoyed the now-antiquated English terminology used in the text, but I still think Heaney's translation is the best overall.
A chilling suspense novel that takes place in the deep winter of Alaska. (pun intended) At times it is creepy, but it is well written and the main characters are very likable. Took a while but the more I read the more I like it and the harder it is to put down. About 3/4 of the way through.
One day, I hope to read the Apocrypha. But I have plenty of other books that I've already purchased to finish first! Today's goal is to finish "The Fall of Gondolin" by Tolkien.
It's the story of Duke Leto when he was but a teen. They're geared for young adults I suppose, but they are compelling reading, in my opinion.
