Just discovered this series...detective/police procedurals set in St. Paul, Minnesota. I'm on this second book and liking them so far...
The Witcher Series by Andrzej Sapkowski.
Just finished The Magicians series by Lev Grossman.
And I just picked up six hard cover John Varley novels on Ebay for $20.
I'm good for a couple of weeks. When I am interested in a book I can generally get through it in less than a week.

Finished "The Gospel According To Luke" last week. Just getting into "A Fast Ride Out of Here" by Pete Way of UFO.
I’m on “The Road South”, a biography of Shelly Stewart, a black man who grew up in Jim Crow Alabama and went on to become one of the first black radio station owners in America. Shelly “the Playboy” Stewart, through his early saturday morning radio show, Blues Before Sunrise, first exposed me to the melding of blues and soul that was modern blues from labels like Malaco. He was an influential part of my blues education and his book tells an amazing story about overcoming impossible circumstances to become a major player in the radio business.
This just arrived.
It's a great shame she chose not to use an editor to help make it an easier read, but so far(about 50 pages in), it's interesting.

Just finished these. I actually enjoyed the NOFX book a bit more, but I'm a pretty juvenile person at heart.
Currently reading a very interesting set of books called The Verus Foundation series by Matt Eaton. I got the first one (a novella called Sleeping Gods) free on my kindle from bookbub. Liked it so much I paid for the next one. It all starts with the Apollo 8 mission and Frank Borman is the central character. The second book (I'm reading now) takes off from there and without spoiling, we start getting things like aliens, Mars, and secret organizations on Earth. So far I'm finding it well written, an (relatively) easy read, and hard to put down. I highly recommend it.
I Gobbled this down across the course of a Saturday afternoon!
