Alright, so....
First off, my apologies. I didn't take any pics. (Sorry, we were busy)
She brought two things.
First up was chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies. The were huge... like small cakes huge. And they were outstanding.
Then she did something pretty different, but awesome. She has to level cakes from time to time, or even cut them at angles using string. When she does that she has extra chunks of cake laying around. She broke those up into bowls for us and stirred in extra frosting from today's projects. So, basically a bowl of cake chunks in this ridiculously fluffy and yummy frosting.
And to make things even better, she made a Boston butt for her family for dinner and had way too much of that left over. So she brought a bunch of that too.
Throw in my wife's buffalo chicken dip, my guacamole, chips and veggies, and a couple beers, it was a feast!
And we got through our entire set for Saturday night including four new songs.
Whew!
Thanks for playing along!
Sorry again about the pics.
It's 1:15 a.m. here and I gotta get up at 5:20 for work. Wish me luck!
,,,and I play harmonica, sing back up , and...I'm pretty strong for my age...when my knees aren't acting up... and I got a truck!
A great thing your singer does. Inspiring! The real question is: what will I bring to next rehearsal? (A six pack of beer. OK, I do that already-so what else?). What will you bring to the next rehearsal?

Yum...but my blood sugar and cholesterol went over the top just reading that and the loop recorder in my chest monitoring my heart function started transmitting to my cardiologist.

But can she sing?

Oh, trust me. I'm on an exercise/nutrition regimen that would drive most people crazy. A few months back my doc tried to put me on blood pressure meds at 48 years old! (Of course, my blood pressure was 145/105 after sitting still for 20 minutes... so I can't really blame her.) About 25 pounds, a gym membership, quite a few miles of running, and a lot of salads/veggies/fish later, she had to back up off me.
But about two nights a week I cheat like crazy! I cashed in one of those last night for sure.![]()
My issues stem from a minor stroke 1.5 years ago at 66 years old that messed up my entire right side a bit. I really have to watch myself now even after decades of moderation and moderate exercise. I strongly believe that thanks to that moderate lifestyle I'm still above ground. It appears I can't escape my genetics completely but I can try to minimize their consequences. But once in a while...like today...I'm going to eat a cookie.Good luck to you.
Enjoy your cookie!
Jeez. The worst thing to happen to my health was moving to North Carolina. There's way too much good food here. I'd better not join a band here, that would make it even worse.Alright, so....
