Back when I was poor I sold all of my basses, the Squier Precision, the Ibanez Artcore(one of the original ones with the long scale), the OLP MM five string, the Fender American Jazz. I almost cried the day I sold the Ibanez, when I was in college I worked a double shift at Domino's every sunday for a month and a half to save up for it.

That bass is sweet, but the mullet is what really ties the whole photo together...

Back in 2004 I was told I was going to get my seasonal job for the Summer so I jumped the gun and got a Black on Black with a maple fretboard Ernie Ball Stingray. To this day it was the best one I'd ever played, anyway the guy lied and I didn't get the job so I had to take it back.

My second bass was a J&D Luthiers 5 string in natural wood. Neck through design. Such a beautiful warm tone. I struggled to adapt to the smaller string spacing, and decided to sell it. I regretted it as soon as it walked out the door.

Last year I sold my 2004 Am. Series Precision, which I now regret. I should have bought a good J neck for it, and kept it. Now, my only "P" bass is a G&L SB-2, which overall I like much more than any Fender P, but sometimes I'd like a more vintage P-bass tone.

My first bass was a (rare) pink early Peavey foundation. I stripped the pink paint off it (poorly) then sold it to a friend. I wish I still had it in the original unmolested condition. All the others were just wood and wires.

I think I parted with my ATK300 a bit prematurely. Apparently, sub 9 pound ATKs are rare indeed.

I had a Spector Rebop Zebrawood that was gorgeous and very comfortable to play. It was just too modern sounding for me so I sold it. Now I wish I would have just swapped out the electronics and kept it!

My 1998 MIM Fender P. One of the best sounding and playing basses I ever owned. Had to sell it when times got tight on the money side of things. But the bass I have now is just like it so it works.

I had other stuff I sold that is worth much more now, but I should have been punched in the head until I blacked out for even considering selling those.

Man! You packed just about every single 80s cliche into one guy, didn't you? "hand custom" pants (aka you drew on them), mullet hair, some sort of rag hanging from somewhere, The whole nine yards! Great pic!

(P.S. I'm only giving you the business because I was that guy too, minus the mullet cuz every hair on my head was three feet long.)

So many come and gone,but out of all of them i wish i had my viellette-citron 8 string back,because i've never picked up an 8 string i liked better.
Ok,and also a late 60's epiphone embassy.....
