I wonder if this is just some customized frankenbass that someone handed him or whether its a known thing. This might be an old video but its part of the new Fender Landau Strat media blitz..MM pickup behind his hand.

We have a winner; you are right sir; the lowly Dimension. Seems I dont recall a lot of love for that model.
