What bass is this? WARNING: Go Gos content.

I think she played a Fender Jaguar later on... could it be a Jag w/out a pick guard or something?

She couldn't have, as the Fender Jag bass never appeared in the U.S. until the 2006 NAAM show, if my memory serves me right. The bass that Fender introduced back in 1961, that came out of the Jaguar/Jazzmaster body style camp, was the Fender Bass VI which had six strings and was tuned an octave below standard guitar tuning. The Jaguar Bass is a recent model, born in the 21'st century, despite it's retro design theme.

Dude, she looks pretty good nowadays too. her myspace page:

Damn! I thought she was cute back in the day but I've gotta say that she got better with age. Too bad that doesn't happen with most of us as we get older.

How many here remember the mock-album by "The Bozos" featuring the song "We've got big feet"?
It was identical to this album cover and all the members had big red noses.

I mean really?

The Go-Go's?

I guess people DO hear with their eyes.:hmm:

Seriously?

How many of YOUR songs are as perfectly crafted as "Head Over Heels?"

Really.

Great pop/rock songwriting; competent, if not good performance; good production; easy on the eyes. Also, if I'm not mistaken- the first "girl group" to write and perform their own material in the big leagues.

I love those first 3 Go-Go's records. I hated them at the time, I think it took 10 years for it to sink in about how good those songs are. I've also had a crush on Jane Wiedlin for 25 years.

But what's with the apostrophe? "The Go-Go's what?"

That made me giggle.

For those of you not aware, that's a play off the Black Flag My War album cover. That was one of (if not) my first punk rock t-shirts in the mid 80s. It disappeared in the washer- I think it disintegrated because it was so threadbare cuz I wore it so much. I ordered another one from SST around 10 years ago along with a couple of Big Drill Car CDs. They sent me a bunch of Black Flag stickers and a couple of other CDs free with my order.

Really. Not being a songwriter,I'm sure their songs are much better than what I write.

Perfectly crafted?
Yes,I wonder how much production that took.....

Does my band leader(Texas Johnny Brown) write as well crafted songs?

Bobby "Blue" Bland and the people at Duke/Peacock thought so.Not only did Bobby record "Two Steps From The Blues",he also named his album after it

P.S."I'Ve been in love with Jane Weidlin for 25 years" -The crux of the bisquit?
