I was watching a video by Lucie,Too and fell in love with this bass. But I cannot tell what brand or type it is based off the video alone. Does anyone out there know? I'm assuming it's a Japanese brand, but honestly I have no idea what it might be. Any suggestions would be helpful.

No problem, bit of a correction its a SBV550 not 500, the 550 is PJ style pickups like that and 500 is Jazz style pickups.

I have the blue one in the pic. I picked it up on CL a few years ago for $350CAD. Pretty aggressive sounding bass, lots of "wool" on the edges. These were re-issues of the 60's version, which are far more collectable.
A local to me CL ad has the red one in the pick available locally. Dude is asking $800 CAD for it, I think the narcotics has taken full effect!
