What Bass is this?

I know its a Kramer, but I was thinking it was a forum I or II bass, but it has a maple neck. The website said they came with ebony? I'm not sure about the forum IV or any other models Kramer had. If anybody has played this bass tell what you think of it.

It's a Kramer 710 which was part of the 100 Series and a mid-level bass, but I've never seen one with a maple fretboard. Kramer had a lot going on during the late 80's so it's hard to pinpoint the multitude of instruments they produced. I'd say this bass was made around 88 or 89.

Edit: I just emailed my Kramer know-it-all buddy and he says it's a 710 made in 1988. They went for about $650 new.

No, but I'll ask him. I've played a Stagemaster and a Forum bass and they were actually pretty nice basses. The Stagemaster had EMG's and the Forum had the Spector pups in them. If memory serves, the Forum sounded much like a Spector with a bit of growl but I also remember getting some fat lows with it as well. My only complaint was purely esthetic because I thought the angle of the headstock was too severe. I think it looks awkward myself.
