What bass should I buy?

--I think you should listen to the advice given by a couple of others...you like the feel of Ibanez so you should go with a higher end one. You can change a lot of things on an instrument, but you can't make an instrument comfortable to play if it doesn't fit you. And especially where you can't try a bunch of things out. Go with something that you are most likely to keep.
And by the way, I am not an Ibanez bass player...I prefer the feel of Fender type instruments. Everyone has there own preferences. Go with yours.

I can attest to this. I love my Aerodyne. I was jamming with some friends yesterday and I decided to change things up and use my Sterling SUB Ray4 and oh man, I could feel the difference in weight. That Aerodyne is so light.

I was checking through back pages and OP is correct (Search basses and Peru). Very difficult to obtain said bass there. There should be a way we can get a bass to anyone that needs one. World wide. Come on.

Well, if you like the Fender Seafoam Pearl Metallic P/J, why not get one of those? I have one, and it's a fine bass. I have a bunch of MIA Fenders and a couple MIJ's. I'm telling you, that Seafoam P/J can go toe-to-toe with all of them. I'm not saying it's BETTER than the MIA's and MIJ's, but it's definitely in the ballpark. When I ordered mine, I was already convinced that I'd have to replace the pickups once I got it. But after playing it, I thought it sounded good enough that there was no need to pump more money into it. I'm quite pleased with mine.

Most of the South American countries put very high duties and tariffs on musical instruments and pro audio gear to try and protect what little local industry there is in these products. It would seem easy to buy something online, but getting in into the hands of a buyer can be expensive and time consuming

If you love GSR200 and light weight , SR700 (Nordy PJ) is good upgrade. Not just light, the Tone is much better than MK1 and BH1 pickup , meanwhile the neck profile just like how you love your GSR200 maybe much better . And the neck construction is rock steady even slim neck.
This SR700 come with great part ,electronic and good tone. If you get Fender MIM PJ bass, you could'nt guaranty your self will waste money to upgrade the tuner, bridge, pickup ..blah blah blah later.

Fender road worn jazz bass MIM fiesta red ... effect also rice wise

To offer up some hard numbers, my Aerodyne is exactly 8.5lbs and that's with the addition of a chunky Hipshot Drop-D tuner.

If you like Ibanez like so many - then by all means get another one. The Premiums are a tad more than a grand, but are fantastic basses or try the upper end standard series with the Bart system. Both kinds have active 3-band EQs with 3-way mid freq switch which works out well when using pedal effects or just to get the sound you like. You just can't do better for the price point.
