What Brand Are The Amps ?

Yes, they got an endorsement deal with Ampeg in the latter part of their run, and that was from about '70. Some of those were solid state, I believe.
I thought George Biondo used a SVT and Larry Byrom was said to use a Fender dual showman. Any idea what model Ampegs those are in the video ? I looked for Ampeg models from the late 60's to early 70's online but nothing looks like those. I'm curious about the amp tones on the studio albums from that time period.

Well, there was the transistor BT series around then…

But I didn't pay that much attention as I was(and still am)into Sunn stuff. I played back then with a guitarist who had a VT-40, and in that 'Wolf video, it looks like a VT-22 on the left. Earlier on they were seen with Fender and Sunn gear until they got the Rickenbacker Transonic amps for show and big concerts(I babysat some of those for some friends once; ouch, they will shrill and nasty sounding).
Here's some more period video of Kay and company…

I actually owned a Ampeg AEB-1 for a couple of years. They definitely have a unique sound, because of the "magic pickup" underneath the bridge.Once Ampeg stopped building and supporting them LaBella was the only string company to make strings long enough to fit them, because of that extended tailpiece. Some of the reissues that were made sported a different pickup which was IMHO a big improvement.
