What brand has all your loyalty?

None.

My commitment lies with trying to be the best musician I can - what I hold in my hands on any given day is irrelevant.

I just never could get on board with the whole cheerleader, fanboi, or choosing a "camp" thing. I get that others might feel compelled to I guess.

More power to them - it just looks way too limiting for my tastes is all.

I've found some very rewarding instruments in virtually every brand I've tried.

You know. It always seems to come down to Fender Jazz. But it has to be a particular J. My mainstay has been 62 reissue for the last 36 years. I did obtain a MIM Standard and modified to my current fretless about 15 years ago. However I am partial to the basic Standard that was put out under that moniker. No active in mine. I like Fender because they’re so easily interchangeable with after market parts.
