Fender has mine. An obvious choice. They have everything that I need. I'm at:

American Standard Jazz Bass with rounds
American Standard P Bass with flats
Elite 5 string with rounds
77 Music Master with tapewounds
Mexican fretless with flats

what company are you committed to?

I own over 30 basses of differing brands. A couple Rics, some Epiphone/Gibson, some ESP, some Ibanez, and some others.... Each manufacturer has their own quirks and QC problems and will have some variance or inconsistency in their product... All except one. Fujigen/FGN. Their basses (and guitars) are an incredible value. The craftsmanship, build quality, aesthetics, and tone have all been literally flawless. I'm hoping to get my third FGN soon .

However, I'll be the first to complain about the machine-heads Ibanez are currently using on their Standard Soundgear line.

I’ve got two mid-1980s Squier strats done by Fujigen and they are freaking amazing guitars.

I own more Fenders than anything, but my main bass, while being Fender based, isn't a Fender. So when it comes to basses, I'm not very loyal. Or pedals. And I'm pretty loyal to Ampeg these days, but there's been a few times where I strayed because I wasn't particularly happy with what was going on with Ampeg at certain times in the 2000-2008 time frame. So let's put it this way...I have my favorites, but I never use anything out of "loyalty." My loyalty has to be earned.
