Situation :
I'm planning to buy a bassguitar amp in november.
I`m looking at 8x10 ampeg cabs and I can`t choose between theese two .

I would love to hear your opinion.
I`m playing post rock/post hc.

I think the only difference outside of price is aesthetics.

Personally if you want an 810, I would be looking for a used one as they can be had for way less than those cabs.

It is hard to find used 8x10 cab, at least where i live, cause they are all good and when you buy one, it`s like for whole life.

Go play one. Actually go play every cab you can find with your amp and bass. The right one will pop out at you. You just have to find the right combination of sound, volume, price, and portability. I used to have an 810 and I loved it, minus moving it up and down stairs, but there is nothing like the feeling of a big cab.

The 810e and 810av ARE the same cabs, the only difference being tolex and grillcloth. So I'd say depending on which head you get (SVT-CL or VR), that's what you should go with.

They could easily be 810's. I see used 810's fairly regularly at those prices.

Ampeg 8x10 for 400 bucks ? o
In Latvia if you find used 8x10 cab then the price will be maybe 200 bucks lower than price of new cab ;o
