What carries your VM5 Jazz Bass?

I purchased a used Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass V. No case included.

I don't have a case for it yet. My quick and dirty measurements show it just barely fitting or not fitting in almost every case I can find online. The nearest GC is an hour away and there aren't any other reasonable stores around to drag the bass to for a try-on.

Can some of you who own this bass post your case's make/model?

I ended up buying the Musicians Gear Deluxe Bass Case from Musicians Friend.

The guitar fits. The body is "snug" in the case and it won't move around at all.
Any smaller and it wouldn't fit. But it does.

Cool. I've been wondering the same thing. But when you say it's a snug fit, where is it snug? I bought the bass as a platform for a GK-3B pickup, and the electronics assembly mounts over the lower tail end of a Jazz bass body, overhanging it a bit. Sitting here at work my first instinct is that the case I bought won't fit that. However, I'll take a good photo of it in the case tonight and post a followup so you can see for yourself.

Hopefully you can see well enough.

The bottom edge of the guitar presses into the padding on the case to within 2-2.5 inches of the edge.

Up at the other end the strap lock is burried in the padding of the case's divider.

Started as an Ibanez GSR190. Stripped the finish, new bridge, tuners, strap buttons and Dimarzio pickups/wiring job. Still waiting on knobs. Just strung it up yesterday and played it at practice tonight. It plays and sounds unreal. I'll be playing this at our gig this Saturday. I am beyond happy.
